About Sherwin-Williams油漆
In 1866, Henry Sherwin started his painting business in a small storage room in Cleveland. The "father" of Sherwin-Williams Canada was born in Omemee, Ontario. At 15, he launched his business career at a retail hardware store in Peterborough, Ontario. A year later, he was hired by James H. Douglas's Montreal hardware and painting supply shop, where he first fell in love with the potential of the painting business. This passion sparked a romance that led to the development of a Canadian paint company that has become synonymous with quality and leadership. In 1887, Walter Cottingham purchased the Gold Paint formula for $56 and established a manufacturing plant at St. Peter Street in Montreal. He quickly supplemented his modest output by acquiring several British paint agencies. Soon after, he earned a reputation as Canada's most important quality paint wholesaler.
